BCA accepts bids from industry supporters

Colorado Springs, Colorado: The Billiard Congress of America [BCA] concluded its preliminary sponsorship round with the opening of sealed competitive bids from a number of industry sponsors on Monday, January 22. The results have named exclusive official product sponsorships to: Olhausen Billiard Mfg. (table), Cue-Tec (cue), Championship Billiard Cloth / Tour Edition (cloth), Super Aramith Pro (ball), plus awarded the closed captioning sponsorship to and an arena sponsorship to the American Poolplayers Association.

The BCA recently issued the official sponsorship offers to qualified BCA Business Members, and solicited sealed bids for product sponsorships and non-competing advertising opportunities in support of the upcoming 2007 9-Ball Championships. The event is scheduled at the Riviera in Las Vegas, May 13-19, with ESPN broadcast taping of the semi-finals and finals at the close of the week-long event.

The long-running broadcast property showcases elite pro talent against a backdrop of top billiard equipment, lighting and game room furniture and accessories. Official sponsors enjoy high-visibility brand presence through multiple ESPN and ESPN2 broadcasts throughout the year, each featuring full-color rotating ad panels along three arena sightlines to maximize brand exposure. Unclaimed product categories (chalk, rack, furniture & lighting) will remain open for bid through February 16, along with associated, non-competing ad placement on the arena scoreboard and sideline rotating banners.
