Trajdos Wins the Czech Open

Little known Polish cueist Wojciech Trajdos has completed an amazing run of matches at the Czech Open this weekend. Due to the new format he had to qualify for the last 64 stage and played an amazing 12 matches to win the title against Russian Konstantin Stepanov.

Stepanov had earlier beaten him in the double-eliminaton stage buy Trajdos exacted revenge with his 10-6 victory in the final.

He picks up a cheque for 6500 euro and this one result will catapult him into Europe's top 150 players.

Imran Majid was the last surviving Brit when he was defeated 10-8 by Engert in the last 16.

Local player Damian Massey had a great result in his first Eurotour outing when he reched the last 24 stage.
