Snooker: Ronnie O'Sullivan Fined £20,000

Ronnie O'Sullivan has been fined a massive £20,000 for walking out in his Uk Championship Quarter-Final against Stephen Hendry.

The fine is broken down as £4050 in forfeited prize money, £5000 court costs and then an £11,750 fine.

Although this has been drsagging on for some time I never thought that the fine imposed would be that big.

I suppose that it brings the game into disrepute and that paying customers were robbed of the chance to see a classic match. Although Ronnie had not been playing great he was only trailing 4-1 in the best of 19 match when he walked out.

Since his walkout however, Ronnie has been a true professional, his performance in the Masters was awesome and he also showed signs of his brilliance in this years World Championship.

In addition to the fine he has also been docked 900 ranking points.
