Disabled ex-snooker star makes new bid for cash help

Former Snooker pro Chris Small has threatened legal action against World Snooker if his latest bid for funds from the Snooker benevolent fund is refused.

The 33-year-old former LG Cup winner had his first application for funds refused and now he is trying again.

The fund was set up for just this scenario so I don't understand whay it is not being paid out.

Some other people make some very interesting points on the Scotsman.com where this article was sourced from:

I can understand the comments about him being secure after a lifetime of snooker where he earned a decent living, but my point would be if he is entitled to the money then he should be paid.
